Preceded in death by Ervin Jekanoski, husband Nicholas Dumak, daughter Joan Marie Jekanoski, and grandchildren David Harrell and Kristopher Jekanoski. She is survived by her children, Jefferey (Dawn) Jekanoski, Paula (Edward) Gardner, Marguerite, James (April) Jekanoski, Patricia (Brett) Filkins. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jay, Terry, Alicia, Sarah, Ashley, Nicholas, Jamie, Daniel and Steven. She was great-grandmother to Lilly, Robert, Emmalee, Evelynn, Theodore, Brantley, Odin, Rook and Madelyn.

She was a faithful Catholic, making sure she didn’t miss Mass and Holy Communion. She volunteered at the Church festival for many years. Barb was an avid card player, whether it be Sheepshead, Poker, Cribbage or even Solitaire. She enjoyed playing at home, in the community room and especially tournaments. Barb was involved with many organizations during her life. She had fun with her Red Hats ladies, going out for luncheons, celebrating holidays, playing games and doing gift exchanges. She was very involved with the American Racing Pigeon Union Women’s Auxiliary. She served on the Board, wrote for the publication during her tenure and also helped plan the convention when it was in Wisconsin, making sure the wives had fun while the men were busy with upcoming races and buying and selling birds. She volunteered for several years in New Berlin as a poll worker and then became a polling site inspector. She worked long hours to make sure everything was accurate and accounted for.

Barb worked in credit unions all her working days. From starting small at St. Augustine Church credit union to Ampco Metal Credit Union, then John Deere in Horicon where she was instrumental in the expansion of their charter opening membership to the public, G.E. Medical Systems, Gogolack Group, and sometimes filling in at other credit unions to help out when needed. Her bookkeeping skills were impeccable, and she was well-respected in the workplace and credit union community.
