Annointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick – Every First Sunday at All Masses at MPH
“The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick confers a particular gift of the Holy Spirit… strengthening, peace, and courage.” – CCC 1527
They drove out many demons, and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them. – Mark 6:13
Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint [him] with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. – James 5:14–15
Every first Sunday of the month, after all Masses, our parish offers the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
This is a special time of prayer and grace, and many of our parishioners receive it with deep faith — especially when they are preparing for a medical procedure, surgery, or even just a doctor’s visit.
We believe that Jesus is our ultimate Healer, and He often works through doctors, nurses, and medical professionals.
Let us make it a habit to turn to God with trust, especially when it comes to our health — something we cannot fully control ourselves.
Make use of this grace-filled moment. Come, receive the sacrament, and remain blessed.
If you are not able to come to church on the first Sunday, please call the parish office at (414) 453-5192. Father will gladly visit your home to administer the sacrament and pray with you.
